Relive Vancouver's Canada Day Fireworks (VIDEO)

On Friday night, tens of thousands of people from all across the region descended on the Coal Harbour waterfront to end Canada’s 149th birthday celebrations in Vancouver with a spectacular fireworks display.

The 20-minute-long display was launched on a barge and synchronized to a 1980s-themed soundtrack to mark the 30th anniversary of Expo ’86 and Canada Place’s role as the Canada Pavilion during the World’s Fair.

There were two barges for the show: One at Coal Harbour just west of Canada Place and another just off the shores of West Vancouver’s Ambleside Beach, both featuring the same fireworks show. If you missed the show, here is a video of the complete fireworks show at Coal Harbour:
