A love-themed display featuring a giant round ball will be featured at the Vancouver Art Gallery, this Friday, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Billed as “conceptual art with a function,” the Big Love Ball is an inflatable sculpture with the word “love” displayed across its breadth.

It will be on display from 6 pm to 8 pm, during the Say it Bigger – Stand For Love and Peace event, hosted and organized by creators of the Big Love Ball.

“Big Love Ball is making its way around the globe, into the hearts of every culture through the use of social media and the instantaneous nature of Instagram,” orgnizers write on Facebook. “Big Love Ball is an irresistible invitation to connect. In a moment it has become a movement. A message of inclusion and compassion.”

Ultimately, they conclude, “Big Love Ball is for everyone.”
