Summer's biggest bash: After Hours at Vancouver Aquarium is back (CONTEST)

We all know that summer’s almost over, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop having a good time.

Instead, plan to end your summer on a high note at Vancouver Aquarium’s long-awaited After Hours soirée next Thursday, August 31.

The Aquarium is gearing up to host its biggest bash of the summer and you don’t want to miss it. You can hit up Canada’s largest aquarium with your friends or your special someone and observe the 50,000+ aquatic creatures doing their thing.

The best part? It’s strictly adults-only, all night.

This means you can take a stroll through the Aquarium’s galleries, come nose to snout with majestic sea lions at the new Steller’s Bay exhibit, or see a puppet show for adults, all with a drink in your hand. You can indulge in summer barbecue fare in the outdoor courtyard and pair your food with a cool beer, wine, or the special cocktail of the night – ‘Sea Lion-aid’.

But it doesn’t stop there, you can also do the following:

• Give your random marine knowledge a ‘porpoise’ and enjoy a scavenger hunt like no ‘otter’
• Touch a stingray as they glide through the water at the Discover Rays touch pool
• Learn more about birds of a feather during the Meet a Penguin program
• Catch a screening of exhilarating 4-D film, Coastal Predators
• Experiencing hands-on learning with marine invertebrates like sea stars, sea anemones, and more in the Wet Lab
• Rock out to tunes presented by Jack FM

Tickets to this summer After Hours extravaganza are on sale now via Vancouver Aquarium online, costing $23 for members and $31 for non-members. This event is strictly 19+ and photo ID is required for entry. If you’re a member, bring your membership card for reduced priced tickets and remember that all ticket sales are final.
