According to Mercer’s annual Cost of Living survey, Toronto (59th on the worldwide ranking) has overtaken Vancouver, which now is at 65 worldwide, to become the most expensive Canadian city to live in. This may surprise many Vancouverites but when you consider other factors, other than house prices this makes sense. Other Canadian city rankings of importance are Montreal (79), Calgary (96) and coming in at 114 is Ottawa.
