Look inside Vancouver's newest Japanese cafe (PHOTOS)

Vancouver’s newest Japanese-inspired bakery and cafe, Usagi Sweets, officially opened its doors on December 12.

The new spot, located at 3720 Oak Street, is a family run operation (the Kawai family, to be exact), and it offers a selection of eats as well as a variety of houseware.

On the savoury side of things here, patrons can order an onigiri lunch set – a combo of two rice balls, two kinds of vegetables, and one organic egg for $11.

For sweet stuff, you’ve got a ton of options cookies in flavours like matcha milk, goma miso, and matcha espresso, along with gluten-free mochi mochi, matcha loaf, and goma miso brownie.

The tea selection here includes hibiscus, red jade, golden cassia, jasmine silver tips, genmaicha, hojicha, and usucha.
