Look inside Vancouver's newest Japanese cafe (PHOTOS)
Vancouver’s newest Japanese-inspired bakery and cafe, Usagi Sweets, officially opened its doors on December 12.
The new spot, located at 3720 Oak Street, is a family run operation (the Kawai family, to be exact), and it offers a selection of eats as well as a variety of houseware.
On the savoury side of things here, patrons can order an onigiri lunch set – a combo of two rice balls, two kinds of vegetables, and one organic egg for $11.
For sweet stuff, you’ve got a ton of options cookies in flavours like matcha milk, goma miso, and matcha espresso, along with gluten-free mochi mochi, matcha loaf, and goma miso brownie.
The tea selection here includes hibiscus, red jade, golden cassia, jasmine silver tips, genmaicha, hojicha, and usucha.
Be sure to try this new eatery soon.
