It’s Christmas in September thanks to UNIQLO.

While it’s still warm outside, the Japanese casual wear retailer will be giving away some gear to really heat things up.

UNIQLO announced today that 50,000 HEATTECH items will be given away in 5 cities across Canada including Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver and Winnipeg. As well, 5,000 items will be donated directly to local charities across Canada.

‘Heattech’ is an extra warm fabric that absorbs moisture generated by the body before converting it into heat.

And according to the company, it is an ideal item of clothing for people across Canada spending long hours working outside in freezing temperatures.

Toronto will be the first stop in the HEATTECH Giveaway Tour, from September 6 to September 9 during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

While Toronto’s dates are confirmed, you’ll have to stay tuned for when they are in Vancouver. To discover exact dates and locations, follow the company’s Canadian social media channels including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

To receive a free sample, customers and fans are invited to find the HEATTECH activation, download the UNIQLO app and follow the steps to complete membership registration.

Last week, UNIQLO also announced it would be hosting a pop-up shop in Yaletown next month.
