Uber for Weed? Startup Eaze delivers medical marijuana to patients

DH Vancouver Staff Apr 16, 2015 10:26 am

Are you too lazy to make the trip to the local dispensary to get your medicinal marijuana? Well now you can order from the comfort of your own home. As easy as calling a dealer, Cannabis delivery startup Eaze (“Uber for Weed”) will deliver right to your door.

The San Francisco startup has already raised $10 million USD in Series A funding to expand its medical marijuana on-demand delivery technology nationally, in locations where it is legal.

Eaze connects nearby medical marijuana dispensaries with verified patients. So far the service is not available in Canada. However, with all the medical marijuana dispensaries popping up in Vancouver, it’s only a matter of time before it makes its way north of the border. When it does, it will probably get banned, just like Uber.
