Calling all tech lovers: This massive UBC event was made for you

Technology is at the core of almost everything in Vancouver.

It’s benefiting multiple industries, allowing them to become more efficient and ultimately more effective.

But the concept of the tech world can often be a lot to take in. That’s why UBC’s largest technology club BizTech hosts an annual event whereby students can attend workshops in different areas related to tech: BluePrint.

This year’s BluePrint is taking place at the UBC AMS Nest on November 18. And now you have the opportunity to go along and gain a deeper understanding of the tech industry in terms of different sectors.

Students can choose two workshops from the following:

  • Healthcare and tech
  • Marketing and tech
  • Finance and tech
  • Accounting and tech
  • Operations and tech
  • HR and tech

You’ll get to hear from keynote speakers from a number of tech companies prominent in Vancouver like Hootsuite and Control, plus see tech demos featuring numerous UBC community partners.

BluePrint is a unique opportunity for students interested in tech-related careers to have a customized learning experience and an opportunity to connect with industry professionals. It also provides local start-ups and multi-national firms with an up close and personal opportunity to network with motivated students aspiring to break into the industry.

Tickets for the event cost $20 for members and $30 for non-members. You can pay at the door or purchase when sales open online via BluePrint. For more information visit BluePrint and check out UBC BizTech on LinkedIn.

So what are you waiting for? Get tech educated.
