DH Vancouver Staff Sep 20, 2014 4:13 pm

The surrounding streets and intersection of Alma Street and West 10th Avenue are closed after a two car collision this afternoon.

The incident involving a pair of SUV vehicles occurred at approximately 3 p.m. One of the vehicles also drove straight into the westbound 99 B-Line bus stop, located just outside a insurance brokerage building front.

Occupants in both vehicles were sent to hospital with minor injuries. Fortunately, no pedestrians and bystanders at the bus stop were injured.

The 99 B-Line and other local bus routes are currently being detoured via West 4th Avenue or West 16th Avenue. Road closures and disruptions to bus service are expected to last through the early evening.

Vancouver Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Cleaning crews are also en route to the scene.
