Two people, including a 17 year old, are dead after two separate overnight stabbings in Metro Vancouver.

In Vancouver, a 17-year-old was stabbed early morning after two groups got into an altercation outside the Japan House restaurant on Kingsway in East Vancouver. The teenager was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

According to Sergeant Randy Fincham, there were numerous witnesses inside the restaurant who have come forward and are assisting the Vancouver Police with the investigation.

In Surrey, one man is dead and another remains in the hospital after a stabbing near 154th Street and 100th Avenue.

It’s not known whether the incidents were gang related.
