A trust fund has been established at Vancity Credit Union to help support the family of murdered Surrey hockey mom Julie Paskall.

Donations to the “Paskall Family Trust” can be made at any Vancity Credit Union branch.

Julie passed away in hospital on New Year’s Eve, leaving behind three children and her husband. All donated funds will support the family and assist with their additional expenses during this very difficult time.

She was randomly attacked on Sunday, December 29, 2013 while picking up her son from an evening hockey game. RCMP homicide investigators set-up a command post outside the rink yesterday and today in an effort for the public to come forward with tips on her murder. The unknown assailant is still at large.

Anyone with information or who was in the area of the Newton Arena, Newton bus loop and the Newton Wave pool, between 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., on December 29 and may have seen any suspicious activities, persons, or vehicle should call the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team Tip line at 1-877-551-4448 by email at ihittipline[at]rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
