Art Focus Artists’ Association 25th Anniversary Exhibit

  • What: Art Focus is commemorating its Silver Anniversary by holding a silver-themed exhibit. Oils, watercolour, acrylics, mixed-media and photography are featured in this show held at the Michael Wright Gallery and in The Outlet.

Art Reception: Surfacing and Canadian Songstress

Sleeping Beauty Dreams

  • What: Sleeping Beauty Dreams re-imagines the famous princess as an overprotected daughter looking for a way to break free of her castle walls, in order to search for true love and her true self. A contemporary look at this classic tale, Marionetas de la Esquina’s humorous storytelling and whimsical puppetry awaken this sleeping princess as never before.

Family Day at Summit

  • What: Enjoy Family Day with a family baking class, bouncy castle, board games, badminton, popcorn and gym games. All ages welcome.

  • Where: Summit Community Centre – 1450 Parkway Boulevard, Coquitlam

Heritage Valentine’s Day Card Making

  • What: Decorate Edwardian style cards for your Valentine, friends, or family. All supplies provided. Plus try delicious sugar cookies from a 1915 recipe. Open to families, youth, and adults.

Family Day at Pinetree

Family Day Skate

  • What: Celebrate Family Day with ice skating, face painting, crafts, a magic show and balloon art by Gizmo.

  • Admission: $3.50. Ages 3 years and under are free. Includes limited rentals.

Stuffie Sleepover

  • What: Ever wonder what your stuffed animals do when you’re not around? Come to our stuffed animal storytime and tuck your stuffie in for a night at the library.

Celebrate Heritage Day!

  • What: Celebrate Heritage Day in Port Moody with family-friendly activities at the Civic Centre and walking tours along historic Clarke Street. Enjoy performances by The Squares Barbershop Quartet, Beauty Shop Dolls, Port Moody Secondary School students, and children’s entertainer The Ta-Daa Lady. Play old-fashioned games and get your photo taken with vintage props in a black-and-white photo booth.

1920s Fashion Show with Ivan Sayers & Silent Auction Fundraiser

  • What: Watch models strut down the runway in bold, beautiful, and beaded garments. Noted fashion historian Ivan Sayers will captivate and entertain as he takes the audience on a journey following the highs and lows of 1920s fashion. Learn about the change in styles throughout the decade and discover why certain materials, silhouettes, and styles were preferred. Ticket includes non-alcoholic beverages and appetizers.
