TransLink is hoping to make it easier for crowds get to The Fair at the PNE, the land of mini doughnuts, amusement park rides, and dog shows this summer.

Beginning this Saturday, August 19 and running straight through until Monday, September 4, “PNE” bus routes will run from the Phibbs Exchange in North Vancouver, as well as SkyTrain stations on both the Millennium and Expo lines, to Hastings Park where The Fair is held.

The PNE Service Includes:

  • No. 16 PNE special – running between 29th Avenue Station, Renfrew Station, and the Pacific Coliseum. On this route there will be 4-5 additional buses per hour between 9:30 am and 12:30 am.
  • No. 210 PNE special – running between Phibbs Exchange and Pacific Coliseum. On this route there will be two additional buses per hour between 10 am and midnight.

“For major events around Metro Vancouver like the PNE, we want to help make it easy for the community to gather, celebrate and enjoy themselves,” said Haydn Acheson, President and GM of Coast Mountain Bus Company, in a statement.

“We are adjusting our service to ensure people can plan ahead and know they have options to get home safely.”

Customers should note though that the service won’t be available on August 21 and 28, as the Fair is closed on both those days.
