Vancouver’s Transit Police are looking for suspects in a series of ticket vending machine break-ins, and one of them happened to leave his pants behind at the scene.

The five break-ins took place at the Metrotown, Lake City Way, Patterson, and 29th Avenue SkyTrain stations this August, netting thieves about $2,000 in cash and causing an estimated $7,000 in property damage.

Transit Police have release footage of two of the incidents, including the last one on August 27, during which one of the two men seen exiting through the station’s gate manages to get his pants caught, tearing them completely off.

Authorities say there were two to three men involved in each break-in, and they all wore dark clothes with bandanas tied across their faces and hats or hoods. The suspects gained accesses to the machines with crowbars and screwdrivers, and in one heist employed a stolen white Jeep Cherokee which has since been recovered.

The Transit Police are sharing the videos and details of the incidents in the hopes that the public knows who these men are.

“We believe that someone may have been bragging about this or telling the story about losing their pants,” notes the Transit Police.
