Over the weekend, the stars descended onto Whistler for Scooter Braun and Yael Cohen’s wedding.
Braun, 33, wed his longtime girlfriend Cohen, 27, at an outdoor ceremony in the resort municipality on Sunday.
He is the famous talent manager of big name acts that include Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Psy, Asher Roth and Ariana Grande – so it was only natural for most of them to be at Braun’s wedding. Other guests included famed actor Tom Hanks, with wife Rita Wilson, and Ed Shareen.
His new wife Cohen is the founder and CEO of F**k Cancer, a charitable organization that educates millennials about early detection and lifestyles that prevent cancer.
Braun was born in New York while Cohen hails from Vancouver.
In addition to Braun’s ceremony, there were two other high profile weddings in Vancouver.
On Saturday, Joseph Fung and Michelle Tam tied the knot at a wedding at the Vancouver Convention Centre that concluded with fireworks. Joseph is the son of Thomas Fung, the owner of the Fairchild Group – a development and multicultural media company. About 1,200 guests were present at the wedding, including Hong Kong stars such as actress and singer Gigi Lai.
The following day, Real Madrid C.F. manager Carlo Ancelotti wed Vancouver-born Mariann Auger McClay in a multi-million dollar ceremony at the couple’s beachside home in West Vancouver. A reception was later held at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in downtown Vancouver. Guests included Chris Tucker and former pro tennis players Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf.
