It’s National Coffee Day in Canada, and to celebrate, Tim Hortons is giving away millions of free coffees for an entire week.

From September 29 (aka National Coffee Day) to October 8, participating locations will be giving away free Original Blend, Dark Roast, Decaf or Iced Coffees, of any size, to coffee lovers who download the Tim’s app, complete a transaction, and redeem their offer.

So yes, you have to make a transaction with their app… but then FREE coffee.

TIM HORTONS is giving away a million coffees for National Coffee Day (CNW Group/Tim Hortons)

“This National Coffee Day, we’re excited to give away a million coffees to our Guests through our new Mobile App,” said Sami Siddiqui, president of Tim Hortons Canada, in a release. “We’ve been part of the daily routine for many Canadians for more than 50 years, and now we’re proud to be able to evolve that experience by helping them order their favourite products right from the palm of their hands.”

By using the app, java sippers will be able to select and pay for orders prior to pick up, without having to wait in line. Pretty much the entire menu is available on the app, so you can grab that breakfast sandwich and get your free coffee to kick off this Friday.

The Tim Hortons app is available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Each App user will be eligible for one free coffee after downloading the App and completing a transaction, at participating locations in Canada.
