U2: The Joshua Tree Tour 2017

  • What: The iconic, Grammy-award winning band return for a select stadium tour this summer, and it all starts right here in Vancouver at BC Place. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the band’s classic album, The Joshua Tree, U2 will be performing the album in its entirety, with the support of a number of special bands. In Vancouver, their support is popular indie/folk rockers, Mumford & Sons.

Girls with Attitude – Art Show

  • What: Inspired by fierce women in their lives, artists Larissa Pirogovski and Natalia Krioutchkova took on a challenge to showcase them on canvas.

EMBRVCE Fridays Grand Opening: Jaykode

  • What: Known for his “Classical Bass”production style, LA-based DJ/Producer JayKode performs at VENUE for the grand opening of EMBRVCE Fridays. EMBRVCE Fridays is a new night dedicated to shining a light on emerging artists, new music, and the culture that goes along with it.

Port Coquitlam Heritage Walk

  • What: Join the Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society for a historic stroll around old Port Coquitlam guided by local historian Bryan Ness. The tour departs from the Museum and Archives and ends at the Bandshell in Leigh Square with a concert by Choral Connections.

Chris Hadfield’s Canada 150 Tour

  • What: Canada’s first spaceship commander, Colonel Chris Hadfield shares a selection of stories, images, songs and ideas that celebrate the 150th birthday of the nation he is so proud to call home.
  • Where: Orpheum – 601 Smithe Street, Vancouver
  • When: May 12 at 8 pm

Atomicon

  • What: Over 20 Atomic Cartoons artists will be showcasing their talents and artwork, while selling prints, buttons, and more. Dress up in cosplay for a chance to win a $100 Prize. 
  • Where: AnzaClub – 3 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver
  • When: May 12 from 6 to 11 pm

Richmond Night Market

  • What: The Richmond Night Market  draws crowds from across the province who travel to taste to rows on rows of vibrant cuisine offered and check out the diverse line-up of nightly performances on to 50-foot entertainment stage.
  • Where: 8351 River Road (nearby Bridgeport Station), Richmond
  • When: May 12 to October 9. Fridays and Saturdays 7 pm to Midnight, Sundays and holiday Mondays 7 to 11 pm
  • Admission: $3.75 (regular admission). Kids 10 and under, seniors 60 and up are free. Zoom pass (up to 7 visits) is $20.
