What: Back for its third year, FVDED in the Park is set to take over Surrey’s Holland Park this summer, bringing some high energy artists over the festival’s two days on July 7 and 8. With programming scheduled to showcase a variety of musical genres, and the recent cancellation of other festivals in the region, FVDED is expected to attract over 40,000 festival goers this year, making it the largest outdoor event in Metro Vancouver.
What: Kicking off on July 7, and running every Friday from 5 to 8 pm through August 25, the 600-block of Front Street will turn into a family-friendly market and hang-out zone, complete with artisan vendors from the New West Farmers Market and New West Craft, live music from the New Westminster Arts Council, and food trucks (which you may also catch at the Columbia StrEAT Food Truck Fest this July).

What: A charity concert for The Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC featuring the music of Chris Cornell. Featuring performances by BOG, Left Spine Down, The Waning Light, Chris Olson, and many more.

What: The Cannery’s outdoor summer evening concert series returns from July 7 to August 25, every Friday night at 6:30 pm. Each week will feature a different musical act, catering to a wide range of musical tastes, from blues, jazz, folk and more.

What: For nearly 75 years, Theatre Under the Stars has brought soaring works of musical theatre to Stanley Park. More than just a night at the theatre, TUTS interweaves a kaleidoscope of elements – setting, scenery, concessions, and quality art – into a fun, encompassing experience. This year’s shows are Mary Poppins and The Drowsy Chaperone.
What: Free, live music concerts will be happening every weekday on the CBC Vancouver outdoor stage. Grab your lunch, your friends, your kids or your co-workers and join the party. Opening day runs until 1:45 pm, and features Fake Shark and Said The Whale.
