High fives, everyone – we made it to Friday! Get your summer fun going with our seven things to do around Vancouver today, including Gathering of Canoes and The Market at Brewer’s Row.

Gathering of Canoes

  • What: Witness a traditional landing of the Pulling Together Canoe Journey. During a 10-day journey along traditional highways from the Sunshine Coast to the City of Vancouver, up to 30 canoes — with First Nations, public service agencies and youth paddlers — will request permission to land on the traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. Bring your friends and family to an afternoon feast and celebratory gathering.

Thompson Canadian Community Picnic Party

  • What: Join Thompson Community Association members to help celebrate the summer season with free games, activities, community booths and entertainment.

Across The Nation Celebration Lot Bash

  • What: Taste all 12 Collaboration Beers, plus enjoy a BBQ with all the fixin’s. Then take in a performance by the Cancons at 7 pm. Also enjoy games and prizes, take an express brewery tour, and more.

Bastille Day Festival

BC Athletics Championships Jamboree

  • What: The BC Athletics Championships Jamboree brings athletes from around the province to compete in various track and field disciplines ​in running, jumping and throwing events. Hosted by Coquitlam Cheetahs Track & Field Club.

The Market at Brewer’s Row

  • What: The Market will feature thoughtfully curated shopping options, along with food, and family fun. Founded by the owners of boutiques Ardillas United and Violet+Ruby, the shop owners are happy to be bringing their outdoor market experience to Port Moody and to those who enjoy Rocky Point Park and Brewer’s Row on summer Friday nights.

Aldergrove Fair Days

  • What: Aldergrove Fair Days have been running for more than 100 years. Highlights include a Show ‘n Shine, a parade, midway rides and games, beer garden and food vendors, and more.
