What: VCBW brings a multitude of events highlighting B.C. and international brews, a first-of-its-kind Vancouver Magazine International Craft Beer Awards Gala and a closing festival at the PNE fair grounds.
What: Each weekend over 20,000 visitors hit up this massive summertime night market in Richmond and experience the diverse array of booths, food and drink vendors, kids’ play area, and live entertainment.

What: Drawing crowds from all over Metro Vancouver, the Richmond Night Market is located within easy access of the Canada Line’s Bridgeport Station. Roam the aisles to find games, food, and all sorts of wares for sale. Late nighters take note, this is the only local night market open until midnight (Fridays and Saturdays).

What: Hats Off Day on Hastings has been a community festival where merchants of the Heights in Burnaby take their hats off to celebrate their neighbours and customers on the first Saturday of every June.

What: With just nails, a hammer and some duct tape corporate teams will be asked to build a boat and have one brave captain race it across False Creek. All money raised goes to the Special Olympics and Small Talk Society.

What: Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.

What: The Kits market takes place Sundays in the parking lot of the Community Centre, and has a Bike Valet for shoppers on two wheels, and lots nearby for families to do.

*A note for this summer: During construction on the parking lot at the Kits Community Centre, the Kitsilano Market will temporarily relocate to Riley Park, at the southeast corner of 30th Avenue and Ontario Street. From May 10 to June 7, 2015 the market will run on the same day and time, and have all the same vendors as the Kits market.
What: The Eastside Block Party will be located on the outside patio and parking lot at The Waldorf Hotel and will feature live DJs, bands, food trucks, performances and vendors. The 19+ event will also include alcohol, unlike other most outdoor festivals in the city.
