Moms will glam up with hair and makeup touch ups by Chatters and The Body Shop before their photo under a beautiful greenery arch. Enjoy live music from Sophia Danai while the kids are crafting up cards for Mom. The event is by donation and all proceeds benefit the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation in support of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

What: Alaria’s Fiddle is a full-length musical theatre performance developed by the Smithers-based Valley Youth Fiddlers in collaboration with master fiddlers from across Canada. Alaria’s Fiddle is a fictional tale about a young girl who lives with her mother on an isolated lighthouse on the west coast of Canada.

What: A 3 km, 5 km and 10 km run and walk starting in Stanley Park and finishing at the Olympic Cauldron at Jack Poole Plaza. Moms will be greeted at the finish line with a commemorative scarf, and all family members are welcome. Event includes a Finish Line Festival, kid’s activities, champagne giveaways, and more. In support of Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon.
What: See the talents and abilities of up-and-coming ballet dancers from across the Lower Mainland during the Festival du Ballet. Ranging in age from 3 to 21, dancers compete in the categories of classical, pointe, demi-character, contemporary ballet, interpretive, modern, repertoire, and adult.

What: There’s an interesting quirk to this production—String of Pearls stars Kelly Sheridan, otherwise known as the voice of Barbie from all of your childhood VHS tapes. The stories of more than 27 women, connected through a single pearl necklace, are portrayed by four talented actresses in this Mother’s Day weekend production.
