Greek Day

  • What: A five block stretch on Broadway, from McDonald to Blenheim, is closed off to traffic to make room for this award-winning festival, offering a world of delicious Greek food and drink, market vendors, entertainment, and live music.

Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon & 5 K

  • What: An annual 5 km run/walk or the Scotiabank Vancouver Half – Marathon, known as Canada’s most scenic half-marathon. More than 6,000 participants run past beaches and mountains, finishing in Vancouver’s beautiful Stanley Park.

Ladner Village Market

  • What: 2017 marks the 21st season for the Ladner Village Market, which takes over the heart of Ladner Village on select Sundays in the summertime. It’s a phenomenal market, with live music, tons of vendors, and much to see and taste.

Vancouver Canadians vs. Spokane Indians

  • What: Grab a beer and a dog and get yourself down to the Nat! The Vancouver Canadians are facing off with the Spokane Indians.

28th Annual Bullhead Derby

  • What: Spend the morning at Garry Point Park at the Bullhead Derby at beautiful Garry Point park. Pack your fishing gear, including barbless hooks and a picnic basket. It’s a perfect occasion to bring your family for a fun day of fishing. There are two categories: kids 12 and under and seniors 65+.
  • Where: Garry Point Park, Steveston
  • When: June 25 from 9 am to 1 pm

Hand to God – Arts Club

  • What: This new Broadway show has swept across the States since its debut in 2015, and Arts Club has scored the Canadian premiere. Sarcastic hand puppets, suburban Texas life, and Sunday service rehearsals all feature prominently in the black comedy. Like Book of Mormon, Hand to God deals with faith and what happens when we lose it.
  • When: Until June 25

Seek the Peak 2017

  • What: Since 2004, the Seek the Peak event has raised more than $400,000 in support of cancer research in BC, and that trend is on track to continue this year. The awe-inspiring 4,100ft climb from Ambleside Park to the Peak of Grouse Mountain tests participants’ fitness, stamina and overall mental toughness. Racers can face the 16 km course alone or tackle it in a relay team, splitting up the climb’s sections, including the famous Grouse Grind.

  • Where: Ambleside Park (West Vancouver) to Grouse Mountain –  6400 Nancy Greene Way, North Vancouver
  • Register: At seekthepeak.ca, $55 for solo runners, $50/person for a relay team of up to four. Online registration closes at 6 pm on Wednesday, June 21, in-person registration is available up to and including race day.

  • What: Learn the best practices in digital marketing from a lineup of industry professionals. Unbounce’s fourth-annual conference covers everything digital marketing-related from copywriting, email, pay-per-click, conversation rate optimization, landing page design, and of course, networking.

Canada 150: A Celebration of Canadian Singer-Songwriters

  • What: Adele M. Wilding pays tribute to some of Canada’s finest singer-songwriters, many of whom influenced Adele’s formative years as a budding musician. The event also features a special gospel tribute to one of Canada’s most beloved rock bands. Joining Adele will be a stellar line-up of Vancouver musicians, including Saul Berson, Miles Black, Mark Bender, Buff Allen, with cameos from guest vocalists LJ Mounteney and Linda Szentes.
