It’s Halloween weekend and many of you are prepping to get creepy tonight. Here are five things to do in Vancouver on Friday, October 28.

Halloween Wake n Shake

  • What: The Wake n Shake Pre-Work Yoga Dance Party is an attempt to make Halloween healthy. There’ll be room for 200 people to enjoy yoga, food, dancing, DJs and live music – without the booze.
  • Where: Beaumont Studios – 316 W. 5th Ave, Vancouver
  • When: Friday, October 28, from 6 to 8:30 am

Sum 41

  • What: Two-time Juno Award winners Sum 41  rode the crest of the nu-metal wave in the early 2000s with a catchy blend of punk, rap and metal elements woven into their music. Now they’re back, on their Don’t Call It A Sum-Back Tour.
  • Where: Commodore Ballroom – 868 Granville St., Vancouver
  • When: Friday, October 28, doors at 7 pm, show at 8 pm

We Know Nothing About Art

  • What: Have you ever thought art historians may just be making everything up on the spot? Join comedian Abdul Aziz and friends as they do their best to make sense of the world’s most treasured works of art, with little to no formal training in the field.
  • Where: Hot Art Wet City – 2206 Main Street, Vancouver
  • When: Friday, October 28, from 7:30 to 10 pm

The Naked and Famous

  • What: This award winning electronic pop band from New Zealand is on tour to support their latest album Simple Forms. With special guests XYLØ and The Chain Gang of 1974.

Ghost Train in Stanley Park

  • What: This year’s Ghost Train is inspired by the Day of the Dead. Be serenaded by a mariachi band of cockroaches, ride the train through the tunnel of flames with the Aztec Lord and Lady of Death, and picnic with in a gorgeous graveyard where friendly souls return to dance with a twelve foot skeleton.
  • Where: Stanley Park
  • When: October 8-31 at various times
