The Ride to Conquer Cancer presented by Silver Wheaton benefiting BC Cancer Foundation is a powerful movement – one of hope, healing, celebration and optimism. The 2013 Ride was an outstanding success, raising $10.4 million for life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency.
Since its inception in 2009, the Ride has raised over $50 million for the BC Cancer Foundation in support of cancer research in B.C. This incredible movement is changing the cancer landscape. Cancer patients are benefitting from improved radiation therapy and chemotherapy because of new knowledge uncovered – all thanks to Ride dollars at work.
Participants, amongst thousands of other cyclists, join together to raise awareness and act as ambassadors of this movement.
As a unique fundraising event that supports groundbreaking research at the BC Cancer Agency, the potential for Ride dollars to change the cancer landscape in B.C. and beyond is immense.
Philanthropy is the fuel that keeps the BC Cancer Agency’s research engine running, and the money raised through The Ride to Conquer Cancer directly funds the work of the Agency throughout British Columbia. This makes participants partners in discovery. With philanthropy and research working together, achieving the vision of a world free from cancer becomes a possibility.
