Since 1862, FAO Schwarz has been selling extraordinary, one-of-a-kind toys from all over the world. And now for the first time ever, the iconic toy brand will have a presence in Canada, but only for a limited time.

Ahead of the upcoming holiday season, The Bay will be opening FAO Schwarz pop-ups at every Hudson’s Bay store across Canada, in addition to selling toys on thebay.com this month.

“There is something special and nostalgic about shopping for a perfect toy to bring joy to someone you love. We are thrilled to launch the FAO Schwarz brand in Canada and bring that sense of magic and wonder to our customers,” says Alison Coville, President, Hudson’s Bay.

Designed as a must-shop wonderland for kids of all ages, the pop-ups will range in size from 300 to 1200-sq-ft and will feature everything from oversized plush animals to classic toy train sets to the dance-on piano that Tom Hanks made famous when he performed “Heart and Soul” and “Chopsticks” in the film Big.

“We are delighted to partner with Hudson’s Bay on this exclusive retail partnership,” says David Conn, CEO of ThreeSixty Brands, owners of the FAO Schwarz brand.

“As Canada’s most iconic and leading department store, they are the perfect partner to help us create cherished memories for generations of children.”
