Tesla Motors, the California-based maker of the award-winning Model S electric sedan, has expanded its Supercharger network with the opening of Tesla’s second Supercharger in British Columbia.  Conveniently located along Highway 1, the Hope Supercharger station is the first step of their quickly progressing route that will support travel between Vancouver and Calgary, for free.

Earlier this year, Tesla opened the first B.C. Supercharger in Squamish, enabling free travel along the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Superchargers are designed for city to city travel, allowing Tesla Model S electric vehicle drivers to travel for about three hours, take a 20 to 30 minute break, and get back on the road charged up.

The Hope Superchargers is located at the Hope Hotel at 830-840 Fraser Avenue.
