Spelunking is the fine art of exploring caves, in case you were wondering.

Vancouver Island has more than one thousand subterranean tunnels and caves where you can adventure out of your comfort zone and into ancient mineral corridors.

So it made perfect sense for Daily Hive’s head of video content, Zain Meghji, to team up with TELUS for a spelunking adventure in Vancouver Island’s coastal caves.

And of course to capture the occasion, we took some video which was easy to do with Zain’s LG G6 smartphone – that you can win by entering the contest below.

Zain and his random group of travel buddies hopped on a Helijet to get to the island. And when they got there, they suited up before the expedition – essential.

Venturing into the caves, the team caught some footage on their phone. It turns out an ip68 water and dust-resistant phone comes in handy, and when it has wide angle lenses on both the front and back – even better. Zain really loved the double lens feature because it allowed him to get some pretty cool videos.

Just so you know, spelunking is a lot harder than it looks, but having some savvy tech in hand helps you out a ton. If you’d like to be in with the chance of winning the LG G6 smartphone that Zain was using on this random adventure, simply enter this contest.
