When we’re not lamenting the cost of real estate in Vancouver, we’re complaining about the lack of jobs, right? Wrong.
As it turns out, there are plenty of tech companies looking for talent (and, of course, lunchtime ping pong players) here right now.
Here’s our rundown of 10 tech companies (and two not-so-tech companies) hiring in Vancouver today – and a rundown of the 301 jobs on offer.

Who: Global technology company with their HQ in Vancouver, offering a mobile commerce/engagement platform to retailers to help drive their mobile sales.
Jobs: Mobify is looking for 21 people to fill engineering, marketing, customer success, design, strategy, and co-op positions.
Perks: A fully-stocked kitchen, yoga, and cardio classes plus retro arcade games. And, of course, ping pong.

Who: Social media management platform, used by more than 10 million people around the world – headquartered in Vancouver.
Jobs: Hootsuite has 61 positions available in customer success, finance, IT, legal, marketing, operations, partners, platforms, product management and design, revenue operations, sales, software development, and talent. There are also some student jobs up for grabs – and if you’re just plain awesome, there’s an opening for that too.
Perks: Three weeks vacation, hackathons, and “fireside chats” from astronauts and CEOs.
The Unbounce team here in Vancouver (Unbounce)
Who: An expanding startup providing a landing page platform for marketers, with its headquarters in Vancouver.
Jobs: Unbounce have 18 positions available in tech, customer success, marketing and sales, product and UX, creative, and business administration.
Perks: Four weeks vacation and $1,000 vacation bonus (yes, they pay you to take a holiday!) And ping pong.
Fancy celebrating your birthday at Rise? Try getting a job there! (Rise)
Who: The world’s first “people and culture platform” helping companies streamline HR administration and empower employees through technology.
Jobs: Rise has 10 positions available in sales, client services, development and marketing – or you can apply just for being awesome.
Perks: Three weeks of paid vacation, as well as paid personal days and paid birthdays off. And ping pong.
Eventbase might take you on a team outing to the Sea To Sky Gondola in Squamish (Eventbase)
Who: Leading mobile technology platform for premium events and Gold Winner for “Best Event App” at both the 2014 and 2015 Event Technology Awards.
Jobs: There are 19 positions available at Eventbase, in sales, marketing, web and mobile development, project management, design, customer support and more.
Perks: Flexible hours, wellness programs and Ticket-to-Ride – a program transporting staff to the event of their choice to see our apps in action.
Who: You’ve probably never heard of it, but this online furniture retailer based in Burnaby clocked up sales of more than $180 million in 2015.
Jobs: Cymax has 22 positions available in IT, marketing, merchandising, operations and services.

Who: Known as SHOEme in Canada, this is one of the country’s fastest growing ecommerce companies, selling, yes, you guessed it, shoes. And accessories.
Jobs: Shoes.com has 13 positions going, some in Vancouver, some in Burnaby, in customer service, marketing, merchandising, operations, and technology.
Perks: Employee discount, free healthy snacks, picnics and parties.
You too could be a part of Slack’s crack team (Slack)
Who: Slack is a team communication tool – and is now the fastest growing B2B application ever, used by more than two million daily active users.
Jobs: Slack has eight jobs available in customer experience, engineering and sales. If those don’t take your fancy, you can also send in a general application.
Perks: A personal and professional development program described by employees as “amazing.” Slack says, “Come do the best work of your life here.”
Who: A global company trying to make data understandable to ordinary people, through the development of visualization software.
Jobs: Tableau has 35 jobs going, all in the engineering field, with the exception of one position in sales.
Perks: Public transit reimbursement and extensive time off, including vacation, sick leave
Who: Sage provides accounting, enterprise resource planning, payment processing, customer management, and HR solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.
Jobs: Sage has 26 jobs on offer, in customer support, sales, accounts, software engineering and development, marketing and workforce planning, all based in Richmond.
Perks: Wellness programs, massages in the office and discount entertainment.

Maybe you could become a sales agent for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? via O2E Brands’ hiring fair (O2E Brands)
Who: 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is the leading junk removal service in Vancouver, removing and/or recycling electronics, furniture, scrap metals, and garbage.
Jobs: There are 60 jobs available at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? for agents and B2B sales reps in their new Local Commercial Sales division. Parent company O2E Brands is holding a hiring fair on March 30 from 4 to 7 p.m.
