The annual Taste of Yaletown is back next month for a 10th straight year, featuring 25 Yaletown restaurants bringing together the innovative talents of chefs and the culinary treasures of one of the best dining districts in Vancouver. The festival will offer a number of menu combinations at set prices of $25, $35 and $45 for both lunchtime and dinnertime scenes.
“So much has changed in Yaletown over the years, but the one thing that has remained unwavering is the continual support and strength of the community that has made the neighbourhood thrive over the years,” said Annette O’Shea, Executive Director of the Yaletown Business Improvement Association.
“Looking back over the years, the Yaletown neighbourhood has been ever-changing and has grown to become the dining hub of some of the best restaurants in Vancouver,” added O’Shea. Every year, we are more and more impressed with the culinary talents of the local chefs, and this year will be no exception.”
Chefs and restauranteurs will have the freedom to serve up fixed course menus, meaning the public will receive something truly unique and carefully selected at each restaurant. This year, menus will not be limited by number of courses and can include beverage pairings inside of the set prices as well.
“Yaletown is home to some of the city’s best chefs, many of whom see Taste of Yaletown as a time to showcase their creativity,” added O’Shea. “This is the second year of increased freedom for chefs, and we expect to see incredible growth in the diversity of the menus set forth.” The public will have so many new and delicious options to discover over the two weeks in October.”
Like the past years, participating restaurants will be donate a portion of their profits from the festival in support of longtime charity partner, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
