On November 26, Vancouver’s social outing app Tangoo, will take the national stage on CBC’s Dragons’ Den. To celebrate Vancouver’s continued joint effort to guide Tangoo along the way, the team looks to give back by bringing the community together at a Dragons’ Den Viewing Party open to all supporters of local startups.
Members of the startup, media, hospitality, and business communities who have supported Tangoo and other startups in Vancouver will be brought together this evening which will be hosted at Club FIVESIXTY.
Tangoo first started as a school project in Barcelona and continued as a UBC student startup before making it to Dragons’ Den. Learning from its experiences in local incubators and accelerators, and receiving guidance from the tech, media, hospitality, and business communities, Tangoo evolved from running social gatherings to a mobile app.
The Tangoo app works by requesting your mood and occasion by providing relevant recommendations of restaurants, bars and other social venues. It engages local tastemakers and the community to help handpick restaurants and venues most suited for enhancing a date night, friend get-togethers, or business outings.
Following the featured Dragons’ Den episode, there will be a panel of past Dragon’s Den participant CEO’s from Shnarped, BitLit, and Rosterbot, to join Tangoo in the discussion of:
“What has the Dragons’ Den experience really done for your business?”
This will be followed by an after-party to celebrate the success of local industry coming together in support of innovation.
With the app and the ticket being free, all Tangoo asks is that you show up and celebrate with them.
