Tacofino adding a new downtown Vancouver location soon

Tacofino‘s taco empire is expanding! The Tofino-born taco and burrito hot spot is opening another Vancouver location, this time a small counter-service weekday restaurant at Bentall One on West Pender Street.

Taking over the old O’Love Bistro location, the 1350 square foot space will be designed by Shiloh Sukkau, and will take on the vibes of a Mid-century Mexican Resort, according to Tacofino’s PR reps.

Think a chic but casual look with “gold, marble, and wood accents” for the 30-seater with 10 patio spots. Sukkau, by the way, designed Tacofino’s equally distinct Gastown and Yaletown locations.

Like Yaletown, the Bentall One Tacofino will be on the slender side, serving up a variety of their signature tacos and burritos, with picks unique to the location. With the Bauhaus-vet Chef Stefan Hartmann now Tacofino’s main culinary mind, it will be fun to see what his stamp will be on the eats at this first new location in his regime.

The Tacofino team is gearing up for a late summer start for Bentall One, and when the doors open, they’ll operate Monday through Friday from 11 am to 7 pm.
