Watch this bald eagle go for a swim in Belcarra, BC (VIDEO)

Yes, you read that headline right.

While they are well-known as majestic creatures of flight, one bald eagle in Belcarra – northwest of Port Moody and east of Deep Cove – had a different idea.

Rather than take to the sky, this particular bird opted instead to go for a dip and travel by water, swimming all the way to shore before getting out and shaking itself off.

The moment was captured by Belcarra resident Cheryl Papove, who posted the video to Youtube.

Mother Nature never ceases to amaze.
