Picture this: a sunny, gorgeous Saturday in Vancouver. A rooftop patio, mimosas flowing, and a few hundred people, all dressed in nautical attire – blue stripes, boat shoes, sailor hats and all. What’s going on? It’s the Port and Starboard charity brunch.
Port and Starboard is put on by motionball, a Canadian charity that builds awareness and raises funds for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation (SOCF). They’re known for throwing some of the best parties and events, all in the name of charity (and of course, fun). The Special Olympics are taking place in Vancouver this week and the closing ceremony is on Saturday, July 12, coinciding with Port and Starboard.
Join motionball and emcee Kid Carson this Saturday at The Keg Yaletown’s rooftop patio. Tickets are $39 and include a drink ticket (good for your first mimosa) and a gourmet, one-of-a-kind brunch. Looking for more reasons to join? There will also be a photo booth, prizes and live music by some of Vancouver’s most talented artists, plus a silent auction and raffle to raise more funds for SOCF.
It’ll be one of the highlights of your summer, and the benefits felt by the SOCF will be countless. Come out, support a great cause, and most importantly, have a good time.
Tickets are limited, get yours here.
