Suspicious naked man investigated by Surrey RCMP

Surrey RCMP are investigating after a bizarre incident in which a naked man approached a woman in a parking lot on Thursday night.

The woman was returning to her car parked in a lot on the 3100 block of 152nd Street near South Point Plaza at around 9:30 pm.

Inexplicably, a naked man emerged from a nearby newer model green sedan, approached the woman and touched her. The woman threatened to scream, causing the naked man to flee, driving off in his car with the trunk open.

Police describe the suspect as Caucasian with a rounded jaw line and medium build, in his 20s, clean shaven with short brown hair.

“The woman is obviously shaken up as a result of this contact with a man she does not know,” said Sgt. Alanna Dunlop in a release.

“We would like to speak to anyone that may have been in the area of South Point Plaza last night who may have seen something that can assist us with this investigation.”

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS or solvecrime.ca.
