Surrey RCMP are appealing to the public for more information on a stabbing that happened last night.

On Thursday around 10 p.m., officers were called to the 8200 block of 120th Street. When they arrived, they found a 36-year-old man with stab wounds who was then transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say an altercation broke out between a number of people that resulted in the stabbing. They’re canvassing the neighbourhood and speaking with witnesses to find out what happened, but the investigation is in very early stages.

If you know anything about this stabbing and haven’t yet spoken to the Surrey RCMP, contact them at 604-599-0502 or if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or solvecrime.ca.
