Police are investigating what appears to be a targeted shooting incident in the South Surrey area.

According to Surrey RCMP, officers were called to a residence on the 4200 block of 152 Street earlier today to respond to a report of an adult male and female suffering from gunshot injuries.

Both individuals are ‘associated’ to the residence in which they were found and transported by ambulance to hospital for the treatment of their non-life threatening injuries.

“Surrey RCMP have the area secured for the investigation,” reads a statement by police. “Surrey Serious Crime investigators are on scene.  Lower Mainland Forensic Identification Section is on scene gathering evidence to advance the investigation.”

Anyone with information that could assist investigators is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers’ anonymous hotline at 1-800-222-8477.
