Distraught driver douses herself in gasoline after crashing into another car

Surrey RCMP are currently investigating a vehicle collision in Clayton Heights that involved what police are describing as a very “distraught person.”

The incident took place Monday morning when authorities received a call at 8:24 am.

Upon arriving at the scene of the crash, which took place on 70th at 192nd in Surrey, they found a “person in crisis.”

RCMP said that after the collision, the woman exited her car and “doused herself in gas.”

Once they arrived on the scene, they immediately provided her with assistance and had her taken to the hospital.

Investigators are currently on scene and have been unable to provide an update for factors leading up to the collision.

Although they don’t have official confirmation yet, Surrey RCMP says it appears the other driver involved in the collision was unharmed.
