The street has since reopened, and police said the incident was the result of a “distraught male.”

A police incident in Surrey has a section of 191st Street closed.
While few details are being released at this point, Surrey RCMP confirmed the incident on Twitter.
We are responding to a police incident in the 7000 blk of 191st Street. 191st is closed north of 70th Ave to the 7100 block. 1/2

Police also sent out tweet asking people in the area not to post photos of the incident.
