Stargazers Moongazers were in for a serious show this morning!

For the first time in 35 years, a blue moon synced up with a supermoon and a total lunar eclipse, which is what NASA refers to as a “lunar trifecta.”

This rare occurrence also won’t be happening again until 2037.

And while the events alone are not uncommon, when they are combined they make for a spectacular display.

If you weren’t able to catch a glimpse of this rare sight, here are some incredible photos taken of the Super Blue Blood Moon eclipse from all across Metro Vancouver.
