Subway restaurants in Canada are getting a fresh new look.

The chain of sandwich-makers is already piloting its new ‘Fresh Forward’ restaurant at two outlets in Quebec (Beauport and Granby) in part of its worldwide rollout.

The new restaurant designs encompass new branding featuring a sleek new logo treatment that carries through menu boards, store interiors, uniforms, and packaging (already in stores across Canada), but it doesn’t stop there.

In an effort to transform every aspect of the customer experience, Subway is introducing self-order kiosks, digital menu boards, a mobile app, delivery, catering, and a bot for Messenger orders.

In stores, expect a soundtrack of “curated music,” USB charging ports, and free WiFi, plus displays that show off fresh ingredients such as vegetables, bread, and cookies.

With the new look comes a few new menu items too. Subway customers will soon be able to order pico de gallo, new sauces, house-made pickles, and gluten-free bread in addition to recently launched options like pressed panini.

Maybe this will stave off franchisers from becoming salad shops.

Check out these photos to see what the future of Subway will look like across Canada.
