Is it ever too early to start getting ready for the holidays? Not at Vancouver TheatreSports (VTS). This season, VTS is running a comedy confection that will make you believe in the magic of holiday romance and TV tropes.
If you’ve ever seen a holiday movie, you’ll love the laugh-a-minute theme of VTS’ production this year: All those cheesy, tinsel-covered clichés from almost every holiday film and festive TV special ever made.
Merry Kiss-mas is kicking off at Granville Island’s Improv Centre on November 21, running every Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 pm and every Friday and Saturday at 8 pm. The show will leave you laughing as the audience gives suggestions to help re-create well-known holiday movie scenes and characters. Plus, you can get on Santa’s good list and see it twice because, with VTS, no two shows are ever the same.
