Time lapse shows the stars of Vancouver in stunning detail

Vancouver’s natural beauty doesn’t stop with the mountains and the ocean.

A stunning time lapse posted to Vimeo by photographer Kyle Mistry proves that when clouds and light pollution are taken out of the equation, Vancouver’s skies are just as breathtaking as the city’s land and seascapes.

The time lapses were taken at Whytecliff Park, Buntzen Lake, Porteau Cove, and on an old logging road just off of Squamish Valley Road.

The whole thing is set to the eerily beautiful track “Owl’s Lullaby” by musician Shimona Kee.

And just in case you missed out on seeing the Perseids in action, there’s a beautiful meteor shower display at the start of the video.
