Standoff near Point Grey resolved peacefully by Vancouver police

A man is in custody after a standoff with Vancouver police at a home near Point Grey on Saturday morning.

According to Const. Jason Doucette, a man had threatened two people with a weapon at a home on West 22nd Avenue near Dunbar Street.

No one was injured, and police, including officers from the Emergency Response Team, negotiated with the man, said Doucette.

According to Doucette, the standoff was peacefully resolved and the investigation into what happened is now ongoing.
