Spanish Banks death deemed 'not suspicious' by Vancouver police

The death of a woman, who was found in medical distress at Spanish Banks earlier this month, was not suspicious, say Vancouver Police.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, was found in distress near the concession area at 7:30 am on November 3.

She was rushed to hospital but died a short time later.

Detectives from VPD’s Major Crime Section were assigned to help establish if the woman’s death was suspicious, but this investigation has now been completed.

The VPD have now turned the case over to the BC Coroners Service.
