Social media enthusiasts, get connected at #YVRSocial

Mar 8 2017, 2:17 am

Whether you work in the realm of social media, you’re an educator, or simply an aficionado, #YVRSocial is a place where you can connect with like-minded individuals in person.

On March 30, the event is bringing together marketers, consultants, business owners, and social media experts to discuss topics relevant to the Vancouver social media community and how to leverage social media for companies.

The first ever #YVRSocial event took place in November last year. It was an immediate hit which sold out and generated an excess of seven million social media impressions. Last year’s theme was “career-focused,” illustrating the disconnect between those working in social media and their upper management.

This year’s event topic is “executive challenge” – and at the end of it, you should be leaving with enough knowledge to explain the value of your social media work to your manager or client.

Senior social media strategist and instructor, Wahiba Chair set up#YVRSocial with the support of her students and colleagues. She will be moderating a social panel at the event on March 30. The talk follows with an open conversation where the panel will share ideas, views, and advice on how to drive business development, build a strong brand, and improve customer service through social media.

The below speakers are set to take attendees through stories of their own success and examples.
