Feb 7 2017, 10:21 am

UPDATE at 11 pm: Regular service is resuming.

UPDATE at 8:25 pm: Two problem trains on the Canada Line have been moved, and modified service has resumed. Current service is as follows:

  • Shuttle train running from Richmond-Brighouse Station to Bridgeport Station
  • Shuttle train running from YVR Airport Station to Bridgeport Station
  • Trains running from Waterfront Station to Bridgeport Station

ProTrans BC has deployed extra staff to Bridgeport Station to help direct customers and assist them in transferring between trains. The bus bridge will remain for another hour.

UPDATE at 8:05 pm: Canada Line service is now reaching all stations, but all passengers must transfer at Bridgeport Station if they are traveling to YVR Airport Station or Richmond-Brighouse Station. Train service has resumed over the Canada Line’s North Arm Bridge, however, service is not up to full levels. Crowding and delays will continue for awhile longer. The bus bridge shuttles will remain operational until the crowds clear.

UPDATE at 7:20 pm: Train service has resumed between Brighouse and Aberdeen, YVR and Templeton, and Waterfront and Oakridge. Richmond does not have train service at all stations. Buses are being put in place to connect stations that do not have train access.

EARLIER:

Heavy snowfall is causing system-wide delays on the Canada Line.

According to Translink, a track issue has caused delay to Canada Line service between Bridgeport and Marine- Gateway stations. Trains may be held longer than usual at stations, and crews are working to get the impacted train moving again.

Train service is resuming between Brighouse and Aberdeen; YVR and Templeton; and Waterfront and Oakridge only. Translink is in the process of assembling a bus shuttle service between Bridgeport, Marine-Gateway and Oakridge stations‎.

Expo and Millennium lines are unaffected and are running normally.
