There's currently no major highway access to the BC Interior due to snowfall
Whether you’re in the Lower Mainland, hoping to head to the Interior today, or planning to head the opposite direction, you’re going nowhere fast – or getting there with a major detour.
Snow and accidents have closed Highway 5 between Hope and Merritt, as well as Highway 3, between Hope and Princeton.
Highway 1 is also closed from Yale to Jackass Mountain, north of Hope.
As a result, Highway 99 – which runs through Whistler and Lillooet – is the only way for Lower Mainland drivers to get to the Interior; although driving is not recommended today.
A list of full highway closures and issues can be found here.
