UPDATE:

TransLink said the issues have been cleared and normal service has resumed on both lines.

ORIGINAL STORY:

It’s been a slow-go for commuters heading north-south or east-west on the SkyTrain system this afternoon.

Yes, two different SkyTrain lines have both experienced service disruptions at the same time.

On the Canada Line, train service is delayed between Aberdeen and Bridgeport Station, apparently because of a gas leak.

A bus bridge between the two stations has been set up.

At the same time, there was a delay on the Millennium Line due to what TransLink said was a medical emergency.

This resulted in single-track service between Rupert and Brentwood station.
