For everyone who’s made the commute, you know Braid Station is pretty tucked away. But if you haven’t gotten off the train to have a peak around you’re missing out on some pretty cool stuff.

You may have to walk a few minutes, but Braid is the closest station to a bunch of Coquitlam and New Westminster activities.

So in case you didn’t know, here’s a list of great date ideas and things to do around Braid station.

Planet Lazer

  • What: A 20-minute long mission with only one rule—kill or be killed. With glow in the dark gear and fun sounding, laser emitting guns, this is the perfect location for a first date or any chill session with your squad.
  • Where: 100 Braid Street, New Westminster
  • When: Daily 10:30 am – 10 pm
  • How much: $9.50 per game

Koh Thai

  • What: The place to go if you’re looking for some killer Pad Thai. Koh Thai is tropics-themed in more ways than just the food, the fun atmosphere is a major part of what makes this place great. One of the hidden gems of New West.
  • Where: 502 E.Columbia St, New Westminster
  • When: Daily from noon – 3 pm and 5 pm – 10 pm
  • How much: Most meals are under $15

Eaglequest Golf

Went to the driving range, we obviously played super seriously.

Maillardville

  • Where: Brunette Avenue, Maillardville
  • When: Anytime
  • How much: Free!

100 Braid Street Studios and Gallery Paint Night

Ikea Coquitlam

  • What: A quirky date idea for fun loving folks who aren’t afraid to think a little outside of the box.
