Shooting in Surrey's Royal Heights neighbourhood

RCMP are investigating a shooting that occurred at a residence early this morning at Royal Heights in Surrey.

The incident occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on the 11700-block of 96th Avenue. When police officers arrived at the scene, nobody was injured but they found evidence of gunfire.

According to a release, police are looking for a silver vehicle, possibly a Honda Civic-type car. It was seen fleeing the scene shortly after the incident.

Limited information is currently available as the investigation is currently in its early stages. Police are attempting to determine whether the incident was targeted.

The residents of the home, where the shooting occurred, are not known to police.
